Organic Mesquite Powder

According to EU legislation, Mesquite has not been consumed in EU before 1997 and as such it is not allowed to be sold and marketed for human consumption without an approval as Novel Foods.

Mesquite powder is obtained by drying and grinding pods of the mesquite deciduous tree (Prosopis pallida) which grow in the high desert plains of Peru and Mexico.
