Vegetable Chips by Lifefood was awarded Best Newcomer in the 14th Consumers' Choice awards. The prestigious contest was held in the Czech Republic. Tereza Havrlandová, Lifefood company‘s founder and owner, received the prize during a gala evening in Prague.

"We highly esteem the fact that experts from the jury evaluated our product as the best (and most interesting new product) in comparison with conventional chips and other treats that have won awards, as a step in the right direction," said Tereza Havrlandová after the ceremony. Her products show that taste and healthy benefits can go together. The award winning chips are not fried, but gently dried at 42 °C maximum.

Lifefood Vegetable Chips won again when they set the record for new products. Lifefood Vegetable Chips had 133 qualifying products which were introduced to the market from September 2012 to December 2013. Products are nominated by manufacturers and distributors, the validity of their nomination is checked by the Jury. The Jury also also gives awards to, two innovative products, one for a food product and one for a non-food product. The chairman of the jury for this year was Tomáš Poucha, executive director of the Marketing Institute .

The Consumers' Choice Award is the only award of its kind in the Czech Republic which is voted on by the consumers themsleves. A professional survey provided in cooperation with STEM / MARK agency was used by the voters. In addition to this, thousands of readers of dozens of magazines and websites, along with hordes of radio listeners participated.
