It is now almost 8 years since the first Lifefood ideas saw the light of the world. Back in those days the story started with making first raw food crackers and dessert mixtures in my own kitchen. Later on we spent several years producing raw food breads and crackers in an old 1984 bakery oven, rebuilt for dehydration at 42°C, all that on some 140m2 space of an old bakery.
Quite a lot has changed since then. We moved to a bigger newly reconstructed production facility, and have designed our own custom-built dehydrator of the size of those massive bakery ovens. We have expanded the production with an energy bar line, raw chocolate production line, and a few other small lines. We went from 600m2 in 2010 to nearly 2000m2 in 2013. Instead of one custom-built dehydrator we have now eight. Lifefood products are present in 18 EU countries and are slowly starting to expand outside of EU.
So that is good news. It means that so many more people eat Lifefood products. It means that so many people make healthier choices in their diet and that they opt for Lifefood. It means that so many people love the taste and quality of our products. That is amazing, and we are truly thankful for that. It also means a lot more worries for us as well. It is much more responsibility – for so many employees, investment, and more commitment. With so many more crackers and lifebars sold we feel greater responsibility for our commitment to the Lifefood quality. But we love it and take it as a great challenge!
We are immensely grateful for the trust of all the people eating Lifefood and we take it as our biggest commitment to keep the highest level of the raw food quality and purity of the products, even in the much bigger quantities. Handmade and artisan is still the case. I would like to thank all of you for your trust and support. That is what keeps us going and allows us to grow, develop, improve quality, keep bringing new innovations in the raw food products and also to support others. It is wonderful. Peace.
